The Human Rights and Development Foundation (HRDF) is a non-profit organisation working to support access to labour rights and justice for Burmese migrant workers in Chiangmai, Samut Sakorn and Tak Provinces of Thailand.
HRDF, together with the Thai Centre for Labour Rights (TCLR), the Labour Union Network for Society (LUNS) and the Migrant Worker Rights Network (MWRN) are hosting an activity “Unions and Migrant Workers Come Together to Improve the Environment in Honour of the King’s Birthday.” This activity will take place on Saturday 5th December 2009 from 830am to 330pm in the surrounds of Wat Thepnorarat, Tambon Nadii, Ampur Muang, Samut Sakorn Province.
HRDF and its partners are organising this activity with the aim to assist Burmese migrant workers, who have come to
work in Thailand, to consider how to more effectively integrate into and live happily with Thai society, how to uphold the cleanliness and environment of their communities, and to fully appreciate the worthiness of His Majesty the King of Thailand, who is truly adored by all the Thai people.
HRDF, together with TCLR, LUNS and MWRN, hereby invite you or a representative of your organisation to join with us for this activity. We do sincerely hope you will be able to take up this invitation.
